Paper Marbling
Paper marbling is a centuries-old art form where paint is floated upon a shallow tank of thickened water and drawn through with various tools to create striking, fluid patterns, similar to smooth marble or other kinds of stone. The image is then carefully transferred to an absorbent surface, such as paper. You’ve probably seen marbled papers in the end pages of books, or on a Kleenex box. Marbled paper can be used for collage, quilting, bookbinding, encaustic art, scrapbooking, art journaling, fiber art, and more. This class will be an introduction to the marbling process for beginners.  It is highly addictive and a lot of fun! You will be taking home several sheets of marbled paper that you can use for making cards, gift tags, or any other paper craft. All supplies are included.

    • We are located at 145 W Main St. in Cambridge, WI. There is ample public parking behind the building. We request that all class participants enter through our rear door after business hours - anytime after 5:00 pm. Our classes take place at the back of the building, you may use the front door during open hours.

    • We MUST receive 4+ registrations to hold a class, registration closes one week prior to class start date. If the class does not meet minimum registration, it is subject to reschedule or cancellation. We always prioritize rescheduling a class first.  If a class is rescheduled, you will have the option to sign up for the rescheduled date, or be issued credit towards a future class. If we are not able to reschedule and must cancel a class, we will issue you credit towards a future class (no cash refunds). If you aren’t able to attend the class and it is past the registration deadline, no class credit will be issued.

    • All tools and materials will be supplied by Art Hub for your class, unless otherwise noted.

    • This is an active art environment, dress for a mess! Art Hub has aprons you can use, and you are also welcome / encouraged to bring your own apron.
